Winter Blogathon 2013 Kickoff!

"KICK OFF Post"

My Goals this weekend are not as near as many as I have seem some post but I am going to try and Blog as much as I can.

For me I would like to learn how to set up my own Linky and to also find some to follow.
I also plan on finding 25 new companies to pitch this weekend.

Mommies POV
I need to learn how to set up Alexa and Google Page Rank on it.
I also need to work on deleting some of the categories.
Then I need to set up a Start here page.
Plus put up a advertising page.
I also need to learn how to do buttons and banners.

Mommies Point of View
I would like to write 5 reviews on it.
I need to find some Home School crafts and things for Charlie this week.
I would like to find 4 new Home School Blogs to follow.
I also would like to find 4 new cooking blogs to follow.

I am also going to stop by everyone's blogs and take the time to look around.

Glenda, Charlie and David

What a nice set of goals!

I find that Alexa is pretty easy to do, once you get the hang of it. 25 companies, huh? Then I need to get my butt in gear because I think I've pitched a total of 5 so far this week. LOL

Anyways, thanks for stopping by Edge of Insanity and I wish you luck on reaching your goals this weekend!

That's and impressive set of goals you have. I want to increase my page rank as well but I am working on that slowly. I know a few bloggers that would be great to follow for homeschool blogs. Here's one http://mamato3blessings.blogspot.com/

Dear Glenda

Thanks for stopping by Create With Joy! I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you in your goals!

Installing Alexa is a great thing to do - be sure to install it on EACH browser you use (I have it on IE, Firefox and Chrome - there are extensions you can download for it on Firefox and Chrome if you like).

I hope to see you at some of our weekly events - Friendship Friday is a great way to connect with other bloggers in my community (this week we're sharing our blogging goals, which is perfect since you're doing the blogathon) - but I also host Inspire Me Monday if you blog creatively and Wordless Wednesday if you enjoy photography!

Have a great weekend!

Good luck on reaching your goals! I seem to be adding to my list every time I turn around. I want to do a total blog makeover, but I am stuck on where I want to take the design :(

Lots planned for yourself this weekend - and yes, many of the same kind of things I need to do.

Do you follow this blog?
http://homeschoolcanada.ca/

I met Lee and Lisa Marie at the SCCTO conference and they blog about homeschool. If you don't - this might knock off one of your 4 you wanted to follow.

Have an awesome inspiring and productive weekend!!

Well I have a lot to learn as I don't know what Alexa is. Good luck with your goals, I would like to learn how to setup a linky too. Glad someone said it isn't hard to learn, I love to link up to others blogs.

Hi Glenda

Thanks for the comment you left on my blogathon post at Art and Stuff. I've just returned after a weekend away and am trying to get a few more things done before the blogathon ends. Your list looks pretty impressive. How have you been getting on?

Sounds to me like you have a lot to do! You are pitching 25 companies?? That seems like a lot to me! Good luck!

That is a lot of goals! It's great that you have them all written out though, and that you post your goals on your blog so that you feel more accountable to get everything done. That is a help. Good luck!

These are great goals Glenda! If you still haven't figured out about the linky when this is all over, come to me and I'll help you out. I use LinkyTools. They are free, and SO easy. I use them on every Wordless Wednesday post! Good luck with your goals!!

Wow you have a lot of comments! Thanks for stopping by Shop in Your Seat, Not on Your Feet. You have quite the to do list. I've been doing a lot of mini challenges and learning.

How did you do on your goals? I didn't quite meet mine, but then, I kind of knew I was going a little overboard with my expectations. I still got quite a bit done and 12 hours left to finish though!

For buttons and banners, I suggest the free version of XHeader, then PicMonkey for finishing touches. Together, they make my life easier!
